Itching to wheel (San Antonio)

I've only taken it "truly" off-road once, near Poteet in the land behind some friends' place. I'd really like to get out there and see what she can do, with me being the likely limiting factor. Expedition style, rocks, beaches, whatever. I just want to get out there over a weekend (even a day trip) with people who've been there before and have a good time with the disconnects...disconnected (except on sand, I guess ).

Anyone?

you should join Jeep Nation (jeep-nation.com). Free membership, and the San Antonio chapter members go wheeling pretty frequently.

We will be out at Trees Ranch on Labor Day weekend. All the details or on our forum. It would be a good place to learn the ropes, the trails guides take good care of us and never get the group they are leading in over their heads.
