Jk Houston build shops

Any good build shops in greater Houston? I have some heavy mods I need done for my JK (lift, tires, bumpers), but unfortunately I just moved here and don't have a garage or place to do my own work yet.

I would really appreciate any information about people doing good work in town. Thanks guys!

Shaun

Best place in town I know of is Javiers on Clay Rd. I think it also goes by the name Gulf Coast Crawl Shop. I've only used them to have some bearings pressed on axle shafts but I konw quite a few of the IH Club and the Cypress Offroad Club both think very highly of them.

On the west side of houston you might call this place. Tom is the owner and very friendly and will talk your ears off.

I can't speak to his knowledge of Jeeps
But he posted some wheels on CL. Said that they fit older jeeps-scouts-fords and other models.
I went up and got the wheels from him yesterday, he claimed they were almost new. But looked a bit rough. I was only going to use them as rollers anyhow.
I called him today and told him that they would not fit a scout as advertised. He said I don't know much about scouts???? I asked why he listed scouts in the add. I told him I would bring them back next week. He Said it was my problem, and has now blocked my text/calls. All over a $100 set of used 16x10 rockcrawler wheels????
Does not sound like he treats people fair. I would look elsewhere to someone more honest to spend your money
