DFW Shoutout

Just wanted to see who might be in the North Texas area.

I've been to LoneStar meetings a couple of times but honestly it's all people twice my age with 10x my budget into their jeeps. Wondering if there's any other groups of casual wheelers in the area.

Arlington here. Agree about LSJC. They're super TJ/JK centric and are comprised primarily of people with enough snuff to buy a JKU and another JKU's MSRP in bolt-ons. I wasn't super happy after following a pack of JKs in Bridgeport drama-free all day in one of my ZJs, when the trail group pulls to a halt and the leader gets out of his LJ asks me if I think I can make it through the next bit of trail, saying, and I quote: "I mean, I know the Jeeps can make it, but...."

I asked him to read me what the big gold badge on the hood said. He shut right up. We hit the next segment, and every one after that. The ZJ didn't have a single problem. Go figure.

Then again, I did just sell that Orvis Edition and buy a new JKU. So maybe I lose on moral grounds. Or maybe not. I still have the niner. That's as GRAND as ZJs get. But Wrangler or not, nobody's going to tell me they think a Grand Cherokee isn't capable.
