Sounds like a good idea.

Are any of you going to the St. Pattie's Day Parade on Greenville this Saturday?

For Dallas area 4 wheelers -check into FWD-FWD if you want to get into a club. I have been a member for a year and a half and I really like wheeling with these people. We have an entry in the Greenville St.Pattie's parade and have 20 rides in it.
You don't have to have a jeep to be in the club, all 4x4s are welcome. All levels of experience are welcome.
A group of us will be going up to Clayton on Memorial Day weekend. Maybe some of you can come.

Does anyone know of any good salvage yards where I can find a Dana 30 Hi Pinion? I'm only going to be in DFW for a couple of days next week so searching time is limited. Any leads would be appreciated.

If anyone knows somebady thhat is selling one that would be great as well. 4.10 gears preferably

thanks

this is Donnie, and if you want a cool place to wheel, Mar 27, we are wheeling Daisy,OK, I am with the FWD -FWD club, there is not a charge for wheeling at this park yet, we just put out a donation box, but owner said if you donate or not its ok.
look at the fwd-fwd.org web site for info.
I am the club president and I hope to have all level of rigs at this club run

Daisy is about 30 miles east of Atoka and Atoka is about 40 miles north the Red River.
post up if you want more info and I will try to respond.

it is a cool place , especially if you want to wheel someplace different

come on now
lift and such is nice
but FWD has all sizes of rigs
mine is lifted now
maybe to much
but there is trails for all sizes
and maybe the club is for you are not
I just like to wheel
senic trails to extreme
we are talking about the K trail in Clayton
goes from Clayton Ok to Mena Ark,
all dirt roads
mostly senic and tent camping along the way
nothing hard just wheeling with friends
maybe the last weekend in April

FWd is going to have a wheeling school soon alsofor rock crawling

Warren977-Denton Auto Salvage has 3 Dana 30s. He said the computer has them listed as gear ratios of 3.73,3.07 and 3.55. The computer does not tell whether or not they are hi-pinion. The prices are from $1375-$1500. If I were you I would check on Craig's list and jeep classified section. Salvage yards usually sell items for insurance recovery and are priced high. There are more bone yards in S. Dallas and Grand Prairie. I happened to have their # in my phone so I called.

You will have just as much fun either way. I've ridden with some of the extreme drivers and had a blast. My DD can't do the stuff they do, but that doesn't mean i'm gonna be sitting on my butt doing nothing. There have been times when I ran the easy trails because there were more newbs than rigs my level. I still had a great time and made some great friends.
