On my way in to work today some of the streets were wet. Also, there's signs that it might rain (keeping fingers crossed.) The hills out there get very slippery when they're moist. I just might take a stroll around and see what has become of ADC.
I gotta admit one thing though... wheeling is looking like it will get more and more expensive. It seems like everyone is willing to pay these days and the open places are charging quite a bit. It's not like I cannot afford it but I must admit that it kinda bugs me to think that some of the wheelers are willing to pay as much as $250 for a two or three day event. Then again, what the heck do I know - I've never been to one of those places so it's not my place to critique any of them. Me, I tread lightly and try to find places nearby that have no signs, fences or the like.
Kinda sad as I was just reading yesterday that many places in San Antonio have been shut down. I hear that over by Ingram mall (devil's den) that there are frigging park rangers handing out fines. Luckily though there are lots of signs up around the area so if you get a ticket then that's too bad... they warned you. I liked that place.... went there several times years ago.
No, I didn't get out there. I asked around but no one that I know has been there for about 6 weeks or so. I know there's a group of Moto-xer's that go there often (heck they live around the corner.) I'm sure they're still using it as I saw a familiar rider heading in that direction on an on-off road dirtbike. I assume he was heading to meet with some friends at ADC.
