Man I wish I had found this thread sooner, I have lived in corpus the last 5 years, haven't been out in my jeep because I have been building it.

I am going to be working on my jeep this weekend, need to get it running and get the rear suspension buttoned up, then work on getting the front tuned up the rest of the way, and start getting a plan togeather for getting the new engine stuffed in it in a couple of weeks.

Dont know if this has been posted here already but there is a big group going to PINS for Go Topless Day (this Saturday the 19th). The location will be at what is call “The Bowl” (coordinates below). The meeting time is at 10am.

Latitude: 27.545534
Longitude: -97.239186
Altitude: 0.000000

Here the location on the map:
http://www.whatsmygps.com/index.php?lat=27.545534&lng=-97.239186

The easiest way to get there is to take Access Road 6, once you get to the beach take a right, go down until you see a bunch of jeeps.

Charles from another forum has reserved the Aqua room (1st floor at Doc's rest.) for dinner after the event. Here is his post:

“Alright everyone, the Aqua Room it is, just put down the Deposit to hold it for us:
Cash Bar, also they will set us up on a Hamburger Buffet w/ all the fixens w/ potato salad, beans & fruit as sides. Too many people to do an open menu, sorry. It'll be $13.00 each. There's a lot going on this weekend in CC so there's no where else that can accommodate a group this large. This being said, we really need an accurate head count ASAP to be sure we want or can do this. Wife would kill me if this all comes out of my pocket, my Jeep my *** ;-) So please everyone, log on to the Facebook page that Tam set up & be sure to push your fellow Jeepers to do the same!!!! I welcome any Feedback gals & guys, can't wait too see all the Jeep Setups!
Charles “

Here is the facebook page he mentioned: https://www.facebook.com/events/340733089323190/?context=create

Make sure you click that you will go on the upper right corner of the FB page.

Some of us will be meeting at HEB in Flour Bluff to convoy to the bowl around 8:30-9:00am.

Old thread, I know, but here goes. I've been in Kingsville since October, but just bought a Jeep ('03 WJ) a few weeks ago. I switched over from a '92 Pathfinder and was a part of a Nissan off-road club ages ago. We used to have build days where people would get together at someone's house to install new parts and drink a few beers. Do the Jeepers around here have anything similar? I'm about to buy a 4.5" lift and would enjoy some help from people that know Jeeps, plus it would be great to get to know some fellow off-roaders down here in the area. Anyone interested in something like this?

Been looking for local jeepers and stumbled across this thread. I noticed it's a bit old but if anybody wants to start wheeling just PM me. Happy Jeeping!

I will be living in Corpus for the rest of the year working on a pipeline in the area. I'm headed down there by the end of this week. There's another guy going with me that has a Jeep himself, I'd love to meet up with a few people if we have time and hang out.
