Any clubs in the southern Brazoria County area?
I see that Houston has some clubs but was looking for a more local club. I work in Freeport and live in Brazoria so if anyone knows of any let me know. Looking for some good people to wheel with and to also work on stuff together.

There aren't any local I know of although I see stickers on windshields around town. has a Houston Chapter but the closest "club" I know of is the Rock Monkeys mostly based in League City. We went up to Trees Ranch this weekend. Had a great time.

Have to check them out. I really wanted to find one around Lake Jackson/ Angleton area. Maybe when I get my new upgrades on ill get with a few of my buddies and see if they want to start one up. We need one closer.

I live in Angleton, and play on the beach in the summer. It would be cool to get some jeeps together for a run somewhere

I agree!! I went to Sargent the other night in my 3/4ton gmc and found some really nice places to Offroad. It would be awesome to have a get together or a club here. Oh and your rig looks awesome!!!

I just stumbled across this thread. Did anyone ever start a club down here, I'm in Angleton. If so let me know I'd be interested in joining or even starting one up.

We need to connect some how, I have joined "Houston Jeep People" on Facebook, most of their runs are on the north side of town but there are some parks closer. Maybe we can get together and caravan up to a park some time.

Count me in on the formation of a local club!

We just moved from Boston to Brazoria, and would love something more local than Houston, if for no other reason than wrenching buddies and to have beers/BBQ with other Jeep people!

Our rigs:

Our new garage:

Anyone need wrenching space? I'd love to lend a hand/bay!

Seriously, though. Me and a couple buddies got annoyed at the lack of local clubs in our area in Boston and started NorthShore Jeeps and 2 years later we have 130+ online members and 27 rigs at the recent spring BBQ, so it can be done. Beer, food, and a bunch of strategically placed cards on windshields does wonders....

I don't do any wheeling, mainly because my steering was super loose. But I replaced the gear box and its fine now. Now I gotta find a spot to run through and get dirty.

What's the protocol for starting a club. Just get enough people to say we're a club now?

Pretty much! (To start with, at least)

In time it's nice to have a site/forum and officers/bylaws, trailmaps, agreements with landowners, maybe memberships of larger umbrella organizations, etc.

But to start with? A few tasty beverages and a decision on a name is a good place to start! :cheers2:

Nice! I just bought some d60s so I've got a lot of work ahead. I also have another 60 front housing, a 10.25 complete, and a 9in complete if anyone is looking.

Haven't checked this in awhile. Damn didn't expect this much interest :-) I moved to Brazoria also btw. Think I have seen your jeep around. I am always down for a cold one, working on stuff, and shooting the bull. Not to mention offroading.

Any Brazoria peps want to meet up and caravan up Galveston for go topless day? Not sure if I can get off but I gonna try. Plan on leaving early meeting up at main land mall with HJP

Been working a ton and forgot topless day. What day is it? If I'm not at work and my Jeep is put back together then I am down!!

The time now is 04:15 PM.
