Some more better details. I keep them up to date at the following address, if your interested in coming out and supporting the Active Wounded, we would greatly appreciate it.

http://www.texasjeepowners.com/forum...st-Dodge-11-13

Wheelers for the Wounded Toy Drive-Northwest Dodge 11/13

Wheelers for the Wounded Toy Drive for the Troops
TOYS AND PRIZES!!!! What could be better?!!!

Show and Shine with Boy Scouts choice award. Mild and Wild Class. Cost one toy to get enter and earns you raffle tickets. RTI Ramp $5 earns you raffle tickets... Games all day and many ways to earn raffle tickets throughout the day.

RAIN OR SHINE!!!!! This event will happen!!!!

Northwest Dodge will be hosting a Toy Drive & Care Package Event to collect New Toys for children ages 3 months to 16 years old as well as Care Packages to be mailed to our military personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan. Toys can be dropped off at the dealership any time prior to and on the day of the big event November 13th 2011. All toys collected will be distributed in December to children of wounded soldiers in December. This year we have over 250 kiddos on the base and would like to have enough toys for all of them. ****Walmarts Gift Cards are strongly encouraged. Walmart in Marble Falls has made us an offer and we will be able to MAXIMIZE our buying power through them.****

There will be plenty of activities for children, so bring the whole family, invite friends..... GAME WILL BE TELEVISED ON THE BIG SCREEN!!!

Care packages will be sent to soldiers deployed overseas and in harm's way. They won't celebrate Christmas like those of us back here in Houston; they are off defending our freedoms and it is our chance to give back. Say Merry Christmas by providing care package items that will make a difference for these brave men and women. Care package items needed are toiletries like: shaving cream, deodorant, razors, toothpaste, underwear, and t-shirts.

Main Event: Northwest Dodge is hosting this event benefitting Wheelers for the Wounded, MoMsUSA and Cypress Cares. The event will take place at Northwest Dodge located at 19616 Northwest Freeway, Houston Tx. 77065. The date for event is November the 13th from 10am to 4pm. The need has never been greater as so many troops remain deployed in harm's way; both for the soldiers in the field and their families who once again will spend the holidays without their loved ones. For all those that donate to this worthy cause you will receive raffle tickets to win big screen TV's, ipads, ipods, and numerous $25 gift cards to local restaurants and businesses. For those in the off-roading community you can win accessories for your vehicles in a special show-n-shine event.

Visit our website at http://www.northwestdodge.com/toydrive for more information. There will be free food, refreshments, live entertainment and a big screen TV with the Texans game will be on hand for all those to enjoy while participating in this worthwhile event benefitting our soldiers and their families.

yes!

Has anyone in the Houston area been out to Down South Offroad (DSO) at all? I'd love to make the drive over there. There are a few views on Youtube from this place and it looks fun.

Never heard of it, but it sounds workable. Thanks for mentioning it. The cash deposit is pretty steep as I don't keep that much cash sitting around.

oh yea - that!

I dont and have never put down that kind of deposit. I am with Tx4wd and we run up there all the time and have never paid more than 10 bucks to enter. But, I see where it can be confusing as of the rates.

Good point - but join the tx4wd forum and you can find out when we are going up there - you dont have to attend meetings etc just find out when ppl are going up there. FYI TX is trying to open up to everyone no matter what club you belong to (or even if you dont) just a sharing of information etc. I know he would open it up to us if we could get rigs together of more than 10 and no deposit needed.

I am with TX4WD - the Houston Chapter President. We are trying to get a few more runs up there about every other month or so to make it worth his while to keep the park open etc. We were supposed to have a statewide meetup tomorrow but due to the rain the wheeling part was canceled.
