There is a good jeep club in Amarillo, but I can't think of the name of it. Be sure to check out the Canadian River designated off-road areas north of town. These are possibly the best public FREE and LEGAL areas in Texas and are just 30 minutes from Amarillo.

2004 TJ Wrangler Rubicon - 5.25" Total Lift, Antirock, Rokmen Short Arms, Various Skids, Winch, 35" MT tires, Roof Rack.
Matching Off-Road Teardrop Trailer.

1993 XJ Cherokee - 3" Lift, 31" tires
Previous Jeeps - 1981 CJ-5, 1985 CJ-7

I'm new to the area also. This weekend will be a good opportunity to meet some people. The sand drags are at the Canadian river this Saturday. I'll be there, holler at me if you see me. 2000 WJ, Green w/ black cladding. Bull bar with some offroad lights on it.

Yeah same for you. We'll definetly be back out there this spring and summer. Probably not until after April (wedding in april). If you go out there anytime PM me, and we'll be there.

Is there anything closer to Lake Meredith? Ive lived in Amarillo for a long time but Ive only owned a jeep for a year. Im looking for somewhere where the wife can play w/ the dog in the water, and we can still do some mild wheelin.

the canadian river has plenty of water for your dog and plenty of primitive camping spots and wheeling from extreme to very light. what are you wheeling
