Jk WE are the Largest State

That's a concept! A trans-Texas meet and greet! We are, after all the largest state!

wow, you're in el paso... is that still considered Texas?...lol...jk

so here's my question... i'm thinking of starting a club down here in corpus, and wondering if everybody would like to make our beach run on Father's Day weekend the Texas Jeepers gathering? This is the first time, so it's a little thrown together, but we're hoping that this would become a big deal every summer. Let me know your (or anyone else's) thoughts on the subject

lets throw some dates out then. I think gilmer would be a decent place, anytime after june will work for me, even if we waited until it cooled down a little after the summer.

Maybe more central Texas... like, say Katemcy or Tree's Ranch?

i personally prefer trees ranch, but the main benefit of gilmer is we have alot more weekends to choose from (open almost every weekend compaired to once a month for 6-8 months out of the year)

I like the idea of more central and trees ranch may be a good place or K-Rocks. We also need to make sure it's a place for all levels of wheeling. The objective is to meet everyone and get to know one another and wheel and have fun also. Tube Yj is right on the GIlmer. They have great facilities and also good tree coverage at camp sites. I'm not sure about Trees ranch but I know K-rocks didn't seem to have much coverage. We'll check into dates of the central wheeling spots and then go from there how's that sound?

Do we want to try and wait for summer heat to be over or should we just shoot for sometime after June? Either way is fine by me. I just need time to save money.

Gilmer sounds like a good place to me! Lots of room, covered , trailes for stock - to extreem , can bring your dog , has showers

say we plan in 2-3 months that way we can get has many Texans , cause I know there has to be a crap load on here, wounder if we should post a new thread some place or link to this one some where so the folks that just scan around and dont scroll down this far will see it

the majority of trails at trees are covered dried creek beds... there are a minimal amount of easy trails, but tons of medium to hard... also, there's a bounty trail that's never been conquored... camping is in the open, but for folks who only see pine trees, desert, asphalt, or beach - the hill country is absolutely gorgeous...

What do you folks think about doing two of these. Have one at Tree's and then have one at Gilmer. It gives people options to make either one or both. Just my thoughts on it. I am good with either location.

Everywhere...but nowhere to be found!
