Does anyone belong to the OKC Jeep club or Trailchasers was thinking about going to the meetings and was wondering if it was worth it. Does anyone know of any places in the OKC area(under 2 hour drive) to try out some light off roading? Thanks for the feedback.
I am the trail run coordinator for Okjeepthing. Come out to a mtg on the 1st at Hideaway and check us out. Have some pizza and decide for yourself. We have a monthly run out of town and try to have some local stuff (more in the summer). We raised almost 6,000$ for wounded warrior project in August at Disney, have runs scheduled to Clayton and Disney oct and nov. Light wheeling in the city is only 1 place - Douglas.
Douglas is the local area near Tinker. There are a couple of river spots around the metro as well. We have a local club 25-30 active members with okjeepthing. Most of the group runs stock to 35" tires and many are daily drivers. We run out of town monthly and have lots of float trips and drive in movie nights during the summer. We also are working at adding more charity runs during the upcoming year. We meet monthly at the Hideaway on N. Western in Okc on the 1st Tuesday around 7-7:30. Come by and check us out if you are interested .
Douglas is fun with all sorts of trails.....Liberty Lake now has signs posted no vehicles past certain points....just out there last weekend with my Jeep club The Red Dirt Jeeps. We play on the South Canadian a lot getting in by Mustang. Look up Red Dirt Jeeps on Facebook. We are just a bunch of Jeep owners looking for others to go out and play.
