I've been talking to some guys on Pirate about making this run but I already have plans that weekend. Maybe we can get another group together in the fall and make another run at it.

Are the areas where the trail crosses private land the most dangerous areas to encounter 2 legged monsters? The portion east of 259 looks to be all on public land. This area any safer? We visit Arklahoma time to time to enjoy the national forests but haven't been on many jeep trails in the kiamichi mountains because of the things I've read about the locals. We spend more tie in the Little Missouri Falls/Cossatot area of west Arkansas.

I have that same one from Pirate. I usually run a laptop with GPS/DeLorme when going off in places like this. I have some bad *** trails mapped in PA, MA and CA with notes on water, camping and all kinds of other goodies but since I don't travel for work anymore theyy are pretty much useless to me. I di have a ton of fun making those maps when I had my ZJ though.

I have not been out there yet. From what I have read K-Trail is all public owned land. There is a bunch of trails that lead off from K-Trail that is private owned.

I was referred to this one off pirate.
I've got a couple buddies here in Stillwater that are interested in making the trip. If its ok to throw a couple more jeeps in, I'll have a lot of questions especially about what all to bring on this trip. We've talked about making this run sometime but don't want to organize a big trip without really knowing the trail.

There were some guys on Pirate talking about making a run that weekend. I told them to check out this thread and see about joining the run. Hope you don't mind.
