Kansas Jeepin'?

Anybody on the board from kansas? i just started going to The university of kansas and have been itching to hit the trails. Is anyone interested in showing a kansas newbie were all the good spots are?

My buddy lives their, and he says their are a few clubs. I had lots of fun hitting random trails in his 1999 xj...but that was on base, and he didn't know of any actual parks.

I would try the forum for different locations, you may get some better answers there.

Tuttle Creek OVR in Randolph, Ks is about 100 miles west of you.

Kansas Rocks is about 110 miles south of you.

Both are good ORV parks to play in.

good bunch of people. Not any legal places to wheel in Kansas City and it's suburbs. Gotta get out of town like Rubi-Doo mentioned...

Check out www.Brushbeaters.com. They're a local club in the SE Kansas area. Looks like they hit trails in SE KS, SW MO, NE OK, and NW AR. I think they've had some rides up at Tuttle Creek too. MIght be some people in there that could offer you some advice, and may know of some wheeling spots closer to you.

I'll Be getting back from deployment sometime soon and, although it will be chilly, I will need to take the old YJ out and break-in all the new stuff I've purchased while I've been away.
