Thinking of going from 4:10 to 4:56 and am curious who you would recommend.

That's not a big jump... almost not worth it. You can do 4.88 or even 5.13's with your Rubi.
If you want the best talk to Josh at Crawlertech.
I don't think I'd let 4 wheel parts do gears.

agree with not worth the monet to go from 4:10 to 4:56. thats whats keeping me from going to 4:88s from my 4:56. just not worth the money. with that said if you decide on gears i really liked Johns 4x4 inBoulder.

My problem is I do not think I will go to 35's and believe I will stick with 33's. So going to 4.88 might be too much. I want my 6th gear back right now it is only useful if I am on a long highway trip as an overdrive gear other than that its useless now.

I can live with it as is but to put 4.88's with 33's I am not sure I want to go there.

ROKMEN is doing some work for me next week I will see if they would deal with gears on another trip into their shop down the line.

I would think 4.88's would work well with the 6 sp and 33's. I have the 4 sp auto on my TJ with 3.73's and 33's. My OD which is .69:1 is useless except at high speeds. I can go to 4.88's.

How about HCP4x4? I haven't had gears done there but maybe they are an option...

He's gearing mine this week. Or as soon as I have the free time. My 8.25 is already geared, he's gearing my D30.

x2

Josh is a great mechanic, friend and person to just sit and shoot the breeze with. He most certainly knows what he's doing and I don't think I'd trust any shop with my stuff before him. He knows this **** like the back of his hand and then some, there's literally no exaggeration there.
