Wheeler is great trail, you definitely want to run it. When we were up there a couple weeks ago there was a rental wrangler at the top. You should not have a problem.

Definitely a fun trail. I'd say it's one of the more scenic trails out there, most of it is as hard as you make it...except Bowling Ball Hill. That obstacle changes with every turn of the wheel.

Not often you get to hear as many simultaneous screams as we did that day

That turn up the hill at the end of bowling ball hill is fun. Or not so fun depending on how you look at it. The corect line on the left can be a bumper corner eater if your not carfull.

I might be able to go on this run too, but not 100% sure at this point. Will know for certain early next week. Never been to Wheeler Lake, and would certainly like to go.

So, who all is in on this run so far?

Well I booked 2 jeeps today from the rental so we are locked into going Sat the 8th. At this time we are all still set for wheeler lake but if plans need to change that is fine too, we've got the jeeps for the day no matter where we go.

By the way we pick them up at 8am from frisco just off the highway less than a block. So ETA or meet up time at there would be fine or the trail head about 5 to 15 min after 8???

Since I have never made it out before with any of you I don't know what the norm is but I can give my cell phone out if wanted/needed or anything else that we should plan on.

I believe we plan on having a nice little break to eat at the top when we finish getting up there.

Are you familiar with the blue motel on the right side of the road when getting off I70 and heading to the town? Behind that there is a large dirt area that he parks and unloads all the jeeps. this is where we will be at 8. I haven't told the guy at the rental that we are going to wheeler lake because I am not sure how he will react. I don't want him freaking out or jacking up our rates as I have got him to give us a discount from reg price.
