Webster and Red Cone will not open till at least July 4th weekend according to the ranger I talked to so those trails are out as a backup plan.

And yes, South Platte Ranger district is the right # to call.
ya i saw the post...forgot tho...OOPS..ya if slaughterhouse is open and only half of Twincone , then that would make for a good trip!...Everyone keep their fingers crossd for a full day of wheeln!

i still need to
- change motor mounts

- replace driver side rear axle shaft
- and then the other basic bolt tightening and greasing and stuff that i do before wheeling trips

I enjoy slaughterhouse, mainly because of how close it is to the house. The Crow Gulch area is the mud pits, and there has been controversy as to whether its closed or not in previous years. But my understanding (haven't actually seen it) is that the crow gulch area is now gated off and closed for sure.

I'd like to run slaughterhouse as well, but i guess it depends on what everyone else's plans are and time (I wouldn't mind a night run on Slaughterhouse).

Same here. I would prefer to run twin cone but I will run Slaughterhouse as a backup if we don't make it very far up Twin Cone or if we have enough time and can run both.

I'm in for either seeing how far we get on Twin then goin to Slaughter...Or just running Slaughter since is completely open...Im on board to whatever works best for everyone else...How far are the 2 trails from eachother? If its not real far...Maybe we can all run Slaughter 1st..then those who need more wheel'n time can jump over to Twin afterwards??

I want to try to pack as much wheeling into the day as possible as it is one of the few weekend days I will get off unless I get the job over at Honda. So I want to try Twin cone and run Slaughterhouse.
