I figured we ought to have one thread we could dedicate specifically to trip reports, pictures and videos. That way we could have an ultra cool thread to show people.

I just watched a couple of these, 2006 was a kick *** year! It was fun seeing everyone's rigs getting dirty. I have 16 videos in total. Only a hand full are loaded on Arlo's site.

Pole Hill in Estes, just past Mile marker 4 on 66 headin west.

Probably about a 3 in difficulty, but in some areas it got pretty rough on our stock TJs, a lifted TJ with bigger tires wouldve been much better.

The camping was pretty nice.

Overall, fun trail, good rocks, very scenic view of Estes, fun for beginners and vets.

Carnage Buena Vista:
The Entrance:

The Second Obsticle:

The V-Knotch:
This obsticle is very narrow and if your off by an inch or too it will cause major damage to the body. The pictures do not show the stepness.

Continue of the V-Knotch:

From this point on the trail is pretty nasty. We reach this ledge and it took a few tries but found the line that would get us up:

Here is the Exit:
These pictures do not show you how step this is. If you rolled here you would roll at least 5 times to the bottom. It is very loose and step. Notice the winch line hook up just in case we went over and down the hill.

Wheelin' pictures from Sunday - first time 4-wheelin' in a few years, since I spent the last few summers learning how ride dual sports and getting my "M" endorsement.

I went trough Garden of the Gods and up Rampart Range Road, and ran a few Forest Road Trails. Nothing major, but good fun for a stock TJ.

Here's a pic from a good spot on Rampart Range Road, You can see Colorado Springs, the "Scar" and Queen's Canyon.

A nice view of Pikes Peak and approaching rain.

Yhea, it's called Eldorado Trail in my trail book, but the sign at the beginning of the upper part says Caribou. I was confused as to which one to use.

But it is a fun trail, I love the lower part when it's wet, lots of good mud. It was pretty dry this time, though. The area in Pics 3, 4 & 5 is usually much muddier. Still a fun day. Here's a link to a panorama from up top. It's too big to post directly:

Storm Mountain from Masonville......

Storm Mountain from Masonville, did this trail on Sept 15th. Nice trail, rarely open, only for hunting, closed now, I think it opens up again in Oct though. Pretty easy, but nice views and little traffic. Here's some pics:

Good views of Longs Peak and previous Forrest Fires.

Sevenmile and Kelly Flats on Sept 29th

Sevenmile:
Easy fun trail with some water crossings, good for some stock fun.

Kelly Flats:
Three vehicles did this, Yoda truck on 31's with a 3" BL, ZR2 with a 5" Suspension Lift on 33's, and no front drive shaft thus in 2LO the whole time, and my TJ on
31's. We all did Heart Attack, no one did the Chutes, I have to pull the ZR2 only once on Heart Attack and it wasn't for very far. I lead up Heart Attack and at the first obstacle on it, took the hard line to the left, everyone else took the easy route on the right. Had my rear left tire in a hole with the front right about 4.5 ft in the air and I soiled myself. After that, the rest of Heart Attack wasn't too bad. Didn't get pics of the tire that high in the air, but its the obsticle in these first few pics.

Overall, very fun day. Unfortunately for the 2LO ZR2, broke one or both motor mounts which we believe pinched a wire somewhere causing the ECU fuse to blow every 5 min or so. We had to leave it in Rustic and my friend had it towed back down today.
