Trail conditions west of Colorado Springs?

I was thinking of visiting some family near Colorado Springs and I was wondering if the trails west of the Spring and along Rampart Range Road are open after the fires?

Not sure if they reopened rampart road, or if they will soon due to erosion risks, and the last I heard, ongoing investigation into the cause. Goldcamp/Old stage are ok, afaik. With the rain in the forecast, I wouldn't want to push my luck up there right now.

Thanks for the update. Is there a web resource where I could check trail closures?

Keep an eye on www.traildamage.com (damage from the trail, not to the trail) as well as the Pike National Forest site since the majority of the area you're talking about is in Pike.

Rampart Range Road is open to/from Woodland Park, but the secondary trails south of Balanced Rock Road (FS 322 IIRC) are closed. Mount Herman Road is closed as well. Trails north of there are open, including the various trails in the Rainbow Falls Area (Illinois Gulch, Missouri Gulch, etc.)

We're going for a scenic drive Sunday...Shelf Road and Phantom Canyon. Possibly The Bank if time allows. Thanks for the tips!
