Which trail?!?

I don't really know the trails all that great. A few of us are looking at going on a ride. Anyone know a trail we can do this coming weekend? My only requirement is no 6' snow drifts to stop us dead in our tracks...I would like some decent obsticals.

someone mentioned illinois gultch but I went there a little over a month ago so I would rather see something different if possible.

I did some searching on traildamage.com, keep in mind i have no idea what these trails are like other than what I read...here is my list of possible trails that seem to be lower elevation. PLEASE help me pick a good trail to run this weekend!!!

Crystal Mountain

Fireman Hill
http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=203

China Wall
http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=61

Coney Flats
http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=15

If there any other suggseted trails I am open to anything...I just want to wheel this weekend, and won't do it alone.

Any input on these trails or any others that would be doable this weekend would be much appreciated!!!

Pat, if you find anything else that looks interesting just let us know

Crystal is closed for the season still.

Fireman Hill is closed permanently, Lefthand is open though.

Coney Flats is is also still closed for the season.

Slaughterhouse is an option. It's down 285 close to Baily. Pretty sure it's open. People been running it all winter

we're looking for something a little more challenging than Slaughterhouse. we'd like to see some different trails.

As of right now, it looks like our only options are China Wall and Chinamans!!!

I don't think China Wall is all that tough but Chinaman's definitely will challenge many. Nothing else good is open yet.

yeah.... there's a NAXJA group headed out to Chinaman's...we're probably going to try to make it there before that group. I think the NAXJA group is going to have about 15 rigs or so, where there will probably be about 4 rigs in our group. With the way that it's looking right now we're going to Chinaman's. I saw a video from China Wall with a stock Mercedes SUV going through there...so it can't be that challenging!!!

Jenny --

I've been trying to figure out a trail that is OPEN and CHALLENGING, and having trouble coming up with anything.

I'm not against simply getting up early and going to Chinaman's Gulch before the NAXJA group start their run.....it is a great trail, and definitely has some challenging parts!

it seems like everything that is open is either too easy, or too far away. if we can get Cruzin Illusion to guide us, that sounds good to us

the kids usually wake us up around 6:30 latest, so early is no problem

Chinaman's is a lot of fun. Some obstacles are optional but some are not. Be careful at the v-notch. Some good spotting needed there.
It's a rough trail and well worth the drive.

Ummm.....yes, that is the obstacle that makes me a bit nervous....

Here is why:

[YT]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Tw4wp6l1v5g&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Tw4wp6l1v5g&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/YT]

But it is a fun trail !!

EDIT That was after the lift, but BEFORE I put on the new tires...I was still running 31's at that time.

Why do people go so high on the passenger side?
