I'll be in ouray the 3rd through 7th. Plan on hitting all the good trails again. Black bear and such. Be cool if you joined us. Got about 4 other jeeps than me. Pm me your number or something.

Hey Chester

Are there a lot of folks there?

Checked weather and is showing a lot of rain right now. We'll be headed up in a week, This will be my 4th year in a row. I am getting really really excited.

PM if you think you'll still be there and we'll go jeepin.

Silverton

Weather this week is calling for rain. Was nice this morning but started raining about 1:00. Typical. I think it is supposed to clear off next week. We are camped at mineral creek north of town just after you go across the bridge. I have a yellow Tj. Going to be here till the 31st.

FJ sumit is there this week, that's why it's so crowded. It's like the Jeep Jamboree for Toyoya FJ's.

^^This. I ran Black Bear with a pack of FJs yesterday. The trail conditions were perfect, but the run was SLOW. Apparently over 300 Yotas have descended on Ouray and surrounding areas this week.

I made the loop by returning on Imogene Pass. Just short of the pass it began raining (around 3p) and continued all the way back to Ouray. Pretty typical for this time of year here. Just get most of your wheeling done before 1p and you should be fine, or just wheel in a little rain.

Have fun!

Went up Kendall yesterday. Rained like a cow peeing on a flat rock.

How was Kendall? (i.e. how does it compare to other trails like Imogene, Ophir, or Engineer for example?) Is it up and back, or can you do a loop back to Silverton?

Dude, wish I could join you. Too many family obligations this weekend (which is a good thing, mind you...). Have fun! Post pics!
