I'd really love to go saturday, but I have to work at 5 so that might be a slight problem. I'll let all you guys know before then if I can go or not.

Holy crap, a guy goes to bed a little early and his thread blows up!!!

If you guys don't wnat to do Caribou/Eldorado that's fine. Those are just two trails that I haven't done. I've already done Jenny Creek....the access road is THE WORST access road I have ever been on...horrible. It is a fun trail though.

I'd like to get out early on Saturday (Sunday is no good for me).

All depends on if I get my deer on Friday or not. I am going up to red feather to hunt friday thru sunday, but hoping to bag something on Friday so that I can fit in some wheeling. I have been on all of the mentioned trails and all are great.

I'll just have to see how the hunt goes and go from there. I will join wich ever group that I can as I haven't gotten out since the 8th of oct.

Later,

Don

I'd be up for Caribou if that's where you want to go Naturalhoosier. Like I said, I just want to get out of the house. If you want to go to Jenny, that's cool too. I haven't run any of them, so either way I win.

Good luck on the hunt! I have a buck tag and an either sex Elk for the weekend after this one.

Only problem.... it's in area 12 4 1/2 hour one way drive. Hopefully that means not many people wil go out there.

Not to change the direction of the thread, but to all you hunters out there:

What all do you need to do in order to get started hunting? Obviously a hunter safety class is first on the list. I guess I am just not sure of what all it takes to draw tags. Is all you need to do that is a completion of a hunter safety course, or is there more to it? Just wondering, because I am thinking about getting into it, so trying to figure out what I need to start doing.

Like I was saying in Moab Jay, that area should be excellent for elk hunting.

A really big Gun.

Actually I am not sure. I have only hunted in MI and GA, so I don't know the CO laws.

Might as well complete the thread jacking. All you need is the hunter safety course and like Ryan had metioned a really big gun. This is actually my first time out so we'll see if I like it or not.

My thing is, Ok I shot the deer, Now what?
