Pole Hill Condition?

I am on Fall Break this weekend til Tuesday. Some friends and I were thinking of getting one last camping trip in, even thought it may be cold. Does anyone know the condition of Pole Hill? We wanted to try it and camp up top. Is there snow? mud? Thanks alot!

I was up around MSV this weekend and anything above 9,500 was snowing when we left this afternoon. Not sure where Pole Hill is but depending on its elevation it'll have snow is my guess if above 9500.

My brother works at the molybdenum mine in Empire, and he said they've had regular snow all week. Snowing tonight when he went home, in fact.

Pole Hill is east of Estes, probably muddy but I doubt if there is snow, yet.

thanks for the input everyone. There's a snow advisory for sunday and sunday night so the girls decided against it.

I was there last night, froze my *** off!! Its snowy and very wet, the rocks are so slippery and its hard to see rocks and stuff. I had a hard time gettin down pole hill and I go there at least 7 times a year so its usually a breeze for me. You can go if you have another modified jeep with you as long as youve got:

Winch
Hi Lift
Tow Cables
Shovels
CB
Emergency Overnight Kit
Water

Be warned, its cold, slippery, and hard to see, so unless youre very experienced, stay then dont go.
