New In Steamboat

My names Jay. Moved to Steamboat Springs CO from Alabama in September.
Looking to join a group to get out on trail rides and wrench. I am an auto tech at a dealership here in steamboat. Have an 01 tj 5spd 4.0 with a little lift and 33s. Will be putting lots more into it at tax time. My roomate is new to the Jeep world. We just got him a 99 xj 2door 5spd 4x4 that is basicly stock with low miles. Will be doing a 4in junkyard lift on it using thunderbird coils up front and s10 bastard packs out back. Will be a fun project should be wrapped up in the next month.

Anyways I love to help, and trade. Posted some stuff I am looking for in the sticky at top. Anyways looking foward to meeting yall on the trails

Welcome to the group! I'm not up in Steamboat too often, but there's a member that's up there now (klye_craig) that does a lot & posts up here. He's got a nice red TJ that he stretched & has rear leaf springs, so should be pretty easy to pick out.

Definitely keep an eye on the used parts though. I built my XJ with a 4" lift, 33's, ARB front bumper, swing away rear, roof rack, sliders, etc. with all used parts & had about $2500 into it total.

Finding work in the Denver metro area shouldn't be hard! When the snow melts lets wheel.
