Talking New guy!

Hyas!

I found these forums just a few days ago, while researching a t-case swap on my ZJ. POS 249 VC dumped on me, new used 231 bought from EBay, should be here in a couple days

Anyway, I've been a Jeeper at heart for a long time, but never had one of my own. I spent the better part of my late teens and twentys working in Jeep dealerships and body shops pushin parts, mostly at the mechanic's counter. All that time wishin' I could afford a Jeep of my own. Well, here I am years later, been out of the dealerships for for well over a decade, and I finally have a Jeep

I'm happy to find an active Jeep community, even happier to find one in Colorado. I'd love to start meeting ppl and getting together and taking my kids out on the weekends for some wheelin'. Concider this my application to the Colorado Jeep Club

Right now, my 93 ZJ is totally stock, so it can't take any big time wheelin', but I hope to slowly do this n that to it to help it handle bigger n better things. I'd be thrilled to hook up with some folks who I can get together with on the odd weekend for some fun. I learned to drive 4wheelin in and old no-PS, no-PB all drums Bronco starting at age 10 in the 70s, so I'm not 100% newbie...but it's been a few years, and I'm sure I have plenty to learn.

Hope to get to know y'all, and have some fun on the trails

Welcome aboard

For now check out the ZJ/WJ tech forum. When you "graduate" from there check out www.mallcrawlin.com for some advanced ZJ tech (ya know, when you're ready to buggy your ZJ and swap in a Chevy 350 w/Propane injection, 14b & D60's axles, coilovers, 53" tires, etc...

There is a "Little 'uns" run coming up that your Jeep could tackle. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f345/little-uns-run-441308/

Thanks for the welcome. Been on the ZJ tech forums for a couple days, gotten more ideas than I can afford for the next several years

The "little 'uns" run sounds like a blast, though mine aren't that little...the boy is now taller than me, and elligigable for his learners permit as of this week, the girl isn't far behind...although the kids are with me most of the time, their mom gets em every other weekend, and that's one of hers...but I will see if I can work out a weekend swap. It's usually doable. Even if I can't arrange it, count me in! I'll post in that thread. I'll have the new used tcase in long before then, and I'll mount up the good tires I been savin till these street tires I got the jeep with wore out.

And I'll check out the other sites you pointed me to, though my ZJ is my daily driver, so I don't think I'll be buggyin it up any time soon
