My camera hunt

Well in the ever lasting quest to save a buck, I was looking for a $600 lense (retail price) online for cheaper...I found it for $330! Score, that is enough of a savings to try it out. www.bestpricecameras.com - website and what not looked legit. Hmm, I'll research their site before I check out: http://forums.photographyreview.com/...ad.php?t=10918

These people offer low prices
once you order they subject you to high pressure upsales
If you dont buy the upsale items, you don't get you order..
Bottom Line STAY AWAY

BestPriceCameras, Infinity Cameras and J&K Camera, all of Brooklyn NY, appear to be interconnected. In my opinion, they are not to be trusted. My experience reminds me of classic bait and switch.

I ordered a Canon EOS Rebel XT with lens from BestPriceCameras. Several days later, I received a telephone call that my caller ID showed as J&K Camera with a Brooklyn telephone number. The caller identified himself with the same name that I had received on an e-mail from BestPriceCameras. The caller tried to sell me several hundred dollars worth of unwanted batteries and accessories. I told him I just wanted what I had agreed to purchase and refused to purchase any additional accessories.

The caller said he was going to cancel the order. I told him I did not want him to cancel the order and that I wanted the camera and lens that I had ordered. The caller became rude. When I told him that I would file a complaint with the New York Attorney General's Office for bait and switch advertising, he informed me that it would cost me $200, suggesting that he was quite familiar with complaints about bait and switch advertising. I do not trust these people and would not do business with them.

BUYER'S BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![color=Red]PLEASE DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!I am trying to post as many bad reviews on them as I can and file complaints with the BBB of NY, where this company is based. More many more reviews, just go to www.resellerratings.com. This company is operating under 2-3 different names, I know this because I ordered the same camera from both bestpricecameras.com and infinityphoto.com thinking they were different companies and never received either camera. Although now I am a bit nervous because both companies have my credit card number! They advertise super low prices, which are appealing, but you will never pay that price. When you call they are VERY rude in trying to sell you accessories that they claim you NEED, although when I ordered by Canon 20D, I knew that if it was a factory fresh box as they claim, it would come with a charger, battery and pc cord. They told me it didn't come with any of these, so they open the boxes and take out the accessories and then make you pay outrageous prices for them. And..if you don't want to, like I said, they will tell you your order is backordered for 4-6 weeks and then you will never receive it. I am doing everything I can to get them out of business, and I encourage you to as well! Just read all the reviews and you will get even more mad that they continue to scam innocent people!!

Etc....kept going on and on and on for the past two years. Sad to see a company like this can stick around for so long

So...
I was looking the other day at the best price for this camera...Canon 350D Rebel 8 mb...

$430 for the refurb 350D Rebel...no lens.
I might go this way, as I already have Canon automatic lenses.

Remember with the Rebel series that you'll need to multiply by 1.6 on the lenses focal lengths...
