I've seen those maps, I've don't moody trail countless times, but I know there are at least two turns off the buckhorn (the black road) that get you to the top, skipping the beginning part of the trail. I've only ever come back that way, and I don't want to get lost going backwards.

You need to turn on the Crystal Mtn Road off Buckhorn. It is about 7 miles past the Moody trail head. Then take that up to the intersection of Moody and Crystal where about 5 roads meet. Turn left onto the top of Moody.

Got it! thanks. When I got to the intersection, its the first left, of four turns.

Finally conquered the upper obstacle that has kicked my butt in the last few years, also did three of the four ledge obstacles on the left, after the upper obstacle. Felt pretty accomplished.

Pretty good camping up there, it was nice to be able to get my friends 2wd gmc up there too.
