Middle St. Vrain (MSV) Saturday - July 19th

Anyone interested in meeting up for a quick run on MSV? After that run there is a good chance I'll keep exploring south until I hit I-70 if you want to see some of the trails in the area (none of them are difficult). Anyone is welcome - newibe or otherwise.

Tow points & skids recommended

I just might be able to make this. Definitely don't want to do Coney (I know you saw the water level from when John and Tom ran it last weekend )

Girls go to church on Saturdays, so I'll probably be flying solo.

Might be able to make it...gotta check with the ex about the rugrats, as they're supposed to go to her house noon Saturday. If I can keep 'em later, we'd be up for it.

Looks like fun...but a long ways from Colroado Springs..Let me think about for a day or so. Either way you should look at coney flats while up there and see if the water level has come down.

I would be interered in Jenny Tom, except I don't want to do the winch fest at the end. Not to mention I don't have a winch and your guys wimpy Wrangler winches probably couldn't lift up my grand

Have you run Coney before? Once you get past the water the trail is boring, rough, and full of STINKY mud. So I generally run across the river, then cross it again and head back via MSV.

Personally the water doesn't look any higher then it has every other year I have been there and will probably take a dip in it. Even if you don't want to do it Jim, the part of the trail that heads up to the river is a fun stretch and is worthwhile doing.

I'll stay out of the water - I'll be on new fluid in front and rear diffs, and prefer to keep it water-free

I ran the side from Beaver res to the water crossing with a buddy in a Pathfinder about 12 years ago. That's the extent of my experience with Coney. I do want to run MSV though.

I'll also have to show you what I'm thinking for my TC skid modification - super simple, but does require a welder. We'll have to have a beer evening sometime in the next month or so

I would hate to pull your bumper off or bend your frameless uni-body.. This is true...
The last 100 feet of Jenny creek is optional, as 99% turn around and go back down Jenny, rather than put up with THAT Rollins pass road and the 11 miles of pot holes.
