I've been on the contracting side for major remodeling in MS after Katrina hit. Just make sure you and the contractor agree on the extras or they can add up quick. Get them in writing so you can keep on budget or close to it.

Here is one of the reasons we decided to remodel instead of move.

A lot has been going on, but it is rough HVAC, plumbing and electrical, so it doesn't take impressive pictures. Here are a couple that have some of the siding and trim in place.

We also had rough inspection today and only had a couple things, so they are reinspecting tomorrow and insulation is starting on Wednesday.

Nice article. Ft. Collins is on there at #19. I think I heard that Weld County was either the fastest growing county in CO or the country.

Also noticed a lot of towns in NC and SC, particularly along the I-85 corridor. Trends keep up, Raliegh-Duram to Atlanta will be another Megalopolis (as Boston-Washington is now) in a few generations.

I was surprised not to see the Washington, DC metro area, with the ever-increasing size of the federal government.

It's a BOY!

I just got a call from my wife yesterday and she got a sneak peak. It looks like Sydney is going to get a little brother. We can now pick out colors for the second kids bedroom.

So we have final inspection tomorrow and hopefully re-inspection on Friday.

Awesome looking home. Really like that garage door. Agree with all the wood.
