Left Hand Canyon near Boulder, CO ???

Alright!!! I'm now living in CO again!! Soooo good to be back!

My WJ is craving dirt!!!

Is left hand canyon or anywhere near Boulder a good place to start in CO. Pretty easy trails? Not looking for anything crazy, just want to have a safe but fun drive through some 4x4 trails.

Thoughts?

Some folks closer to the area may post, but I think a lot of the trail in Left Hand, Boulder County, and Larimer County are "gone" due to the recent rains and floods. So many things were washed out that the USFS may not repair some trails for a while.

The Jeep Club I am a member of has adopted Lefthand Canyon and there isnt even a road to get to it right now. Cant even assess the damage yet.

Boreas Pass this time of year would be pretty. Argentine Pass (not McLellen Mtn) would fine too.

Most our leaves in Breck are already down or brown. The snow last week killed em. The trails are still good though.

Keep watching the USDA NFS website for updates on what's opened and closed

This time of year I'd recommend going down to Buena Vista. I was just there 2 weekends ago and it was fantastic. Summit has been pretty chilly in comparison, although I don't think there's any foliage left so see anywhere other than right here on the front range.
