Latest Plan for wheelin 11/20- Middle St. Vrain +

Meeting at Raymond General Store at 8am. 53 Riverside Dr, Lyons, Colorado 80540

From there we're considering Miller Rock. Given that the most difficult part of Miller is the climb at the start, we can survey the climb and if unable or decide not to, we can bag it and use SR-72 to get to Middle St. Vrain easily and start there instead. The concern being with the recent snow and warm days, maybe too much ice-maybe not.

Then on to Middle St. Vrain with a return on Coney Flats.

The combined trails are 12.4 miles. If we don't stop too often, probably take us about 6 hours on the high side I suspect. We can drop Miller Rock (3.7miles) and probably finish the rest in 4.5 hours.

I spoke with the director at the Glacier View Ranch and they'll open the gate for us at the end of Miller Rock pending my phone call tomorrow morning. He states they have about 3" of snow on the ground at the ranch.

If we met at Raymond store about 8, that'll probably have us done by 3-4pm including a stop along the way to eat and bs.

It's about 2 hours to Raymond from where I'm at. Not sure where you are in Lone Tree? Send me a PM and we can figure out wher to meet and caravan from there.
