July 28th run

Ok all. This weekend is screwed for me, otherwise I'd meet up with you at Wheeler Lake. So that leaves me to next Saturday. One of the guys I work with wants to go out, so I figured I'd take him with us somewhere (he's the guy with the LJ on 35's that he's selling).

So, any ideas on a location? He's run Carnage before, and I've run it too often lately. I was thinking Spring Creek, but I just did that one, and want something new. Anything strike your fancy?

Hey Josh-

I'd be up for a trail run. I haven't run it by Melody yet, but I'm pretty sure I am open.

I'll check a few trails out on traildamage for some suggestions.

I'll have to see what that looks like. I might be taking Bridget and Tricia on an easy run with the Calvary foks. I think we're doing the Pierson/Johnny Parks loop.

Red cone's open...
Radical hill is almost open, should be by next week.
Holy Cross City? Although every time I try this trail, it is a parking lot. A long way to travel too.(one of the hardest trails I have done, beats on my poor old beat up jeep every time)

Red Cone to Radical hill to Sob hill to Georga pass is a full day, on some tougher trails.
My favorite ride in the entire state.

I wanted to run Holy Cross also, but there is a group of about 30 rigs running it that day. It will be a 20 hour run no doubt.

Same drive time to Grizzly lake, which is supposed to be challenging at the intro, then get easier as the trail climbs. Ends at an awesome lake for fishing. It is 120 miles to the trail head (mostly down 285).

Iron Chest is a 2 mile trail right by Grizzly Lake (like same parking lot) that is a short version of Spring Creek. IC is a level 6 to 8 trail depending on the lines, so really challenging and one that I have been interested in for awhile.

All of these are around Buena Vista.

Mosquito Pass is right by South Park. YOu could still go somewhere!

I'm out for the 28th, but the 29th might be doable.
