Jeep repair day

We should have a repair/maintance/upgrade day some weekend.

Do you have a job that takes...
more people, more hands, expertise, or..TOOLS..glorious tools?

I, myself, am right now, gathering parts...
I have a winter list.

I need to install 3 more SS's, drag link, & a couple bushings. That is assuming the parts ever get shipped to me.

I need to replace my rear pinion seal....AGAIN. That and I have a couple little gremlins with the XJ- blower only going through the defrost under load (need to find my vacuum leak), and I think the ignition switch is going out... I also need to extend (well, actually install) the bumpstops and extended brake lines, and trim the fenders. Also need to do brakes pretty bad... Nothing big, but a few that I need to handle.

Nice, I have to do my rear pinion as well But I'll probably do that this week since I don't like leaking fluid...

I got a box full of crap. New body mounts, sliderz, steering box skid, and spark plugs.

I am helping a friend install a clutch in two weeks does that count.

But any who, on my own rig I am ordering the brkts and ac clutch to do the york on board air tonight. I may actually break down and buy a cb to install as well since everyone seems to have one except for me and that last trail was a pain in the *ss withour one.

We are actually looking at running a trail in two weeks. I am sure it will be something close and hopefully a lot of snow.

Later,

Don

Would dropping a new engine in my rig qualify? It might take more than a weekend though...

You will love it..

I just installed a thumb throttle for mine, so I won't have to pile stuff on the gas pedal any more to rev the engine.

It must be nice to have the cash for OBA!! I need to start saving up to get me a setup as well. Has anyone heard any differences between the York and Kilby OBA? I know that I can get the full setup from Kilby for like $1200, but not sure if it's that much better/worse than York....

I am only buying the bracket kit $160, the Clutch kit $140, and a flow thru air chuch w/hose $15.00. I have york compressor from a bronco that I parted out. I am not running a tank for now until I have some more dough. This will still outflow most electric setups even without the tank. The compressor that I have is rated at 6cfm. I have been selling off all the crap that has been in my basement and not needed for a while.
