BJ's tries to rob you too - they wanted "no more than $150" for a front driveshaft that I nabbed at a yard for $35

what you say about BJ's is true... i called them today and they wanted 700 for a used ( not even rebuilt ) 231 transfer case..and you have to give them your old case.... unfreakinbelieveable...

U-Pull, or they advertise they can pull. Slip-yoke style front driveshafts, $35. U-jointed D30 axle shafts, $25. Nice selection of XJs, some ZJs, 1 WJ when I was there. They had a couple of CJs as well. Didn't notice any YJs/TJs, but I wasn't hunting for those. If you don't mind getting a little dirty, this is a great place to go I'll have to check my receipt, but I think they warranty parts for 15 days.

Colorado Auto and Parts is a great yard... with good prices... but they hardly ever have Jeeps there unless its an XJ.

love colorado Auto and Parts, I go there about once every 2 weeks.
They are always really cool and are pretty reasonably priced.

A commercial drive shaft shop, A bit pricey for ujoints but they have spicer joints and install them free (you pull the drive shaft). Will build any drive shaft that you want from measurements. For cheapest custom shafts take them a longer/shorter one and have them retube, or shorten and balance it.

How about a rating system for these vendors?
I would give FN Jeep an avoid except as a last resort rating -poor knowledge, poor prices and poor attitude.

They seemed really cool, but that was a good 3 1/2 years ago.

2X on mile hi jeep!!! On Federal Donny is great but I am 54 now and when I was 17/18 year old kid with my flatfenders his dad Don is the man. I remember many times I had trouble with V6 swaps and the likes but it only took one stop and talk with Don senior and all was good. I was a snot nose kid but he treated me well. Got to love a place like that.

I had found that same list when I was looking for my tcase.
Called that # for Republic, and it was some lady's residence who was really getting tired of getting calls for Republic :P

Found the correct# and called them. They wanted $750 for a used 231.
Got mine off ebay for $200, but needed the right 4wd indicator switch (the one from the 249 don't fit). Went to their shop, and asked if they had the switch. He asked why I needed it. I told him I just swapped my tcase, and the replacement didn't have it. He asked if I got the tcase from him. I said no, I got it off ebay. He said, well then go to ebay for the switch, turned around and walked away from me. I told him I checked his price before I went to ebay, sorry if it offends you that I didn't let you rip me off, and left.

There is another guy that works there who is cool. I went in looking for the shift bezel, and the guy just gave it to me...but the owner wasn't there at the time...

FN Jeep is bad now?

I haven't been there since they were located off of Nevada. I went there and they gave me a free fog light switch, provided that I throw one of their stickers on my Jeep. They seemed really cool, but that was a good 3 1/2 years ago.

FN Jeep is bad now?

fuel tank (rusty used $135)(price (Quadratec) for a new one $125 at the time)
T-18 (they wanted several hundred without the top cover and shift forks (wanted extra for top cover assembly)) (complete at scrap yard $50)
clutch pedal assembly $75 ( got it at a scrap yard for $20).
In all cases when they didn't have the parts they tried to sell things that were either unwanted or not applicable.
It is not just me but my friends have similar stories.
Like any scrap yard or disassembler you need to know what you want and know its worth be fore you go there.
