Unhappy i need tires for emissions

Situation solved, Thanks Jeepers!

Anybody have 2 33" or smaller tires I can throw on the back of my Jeep for an hour or so? I live off 84th and federal and frequently make it to Thornton so anywhere north of Denver would be doable.

Here is how I intend this to work:
Drive to your house
Swap my tires for yours and leave mine as collateral
Go get emissions
Swap back tires

if anybody wants to help me out I'll pm you my number and we will get it sorted.

THANKS!

Why would you need tires for emissions? Are yours bald as hell or something. Worst case tell them to do a two speed idle, if it applies to your region

Because they won't put 35's on the dino and won't approve an idle test unless stock tires are used.

Some 4x4 shops have loaners. Call Chad at Four to Go (303-421-5876) might be able to help you out.

Measure your tires. I was concerned when I had to do this in January, having moved from out-of-state. The dude at the emissions place was nice enough to tell me 34" is their limit. My 35" Coopers actually measured ~ 34" and I barely scraped by. I was unsuccessful in finding any tire shops around Longmont/Frederick who temporarily loaned-out tires, but lucked out with my own 35s since they measured smaller...

What caused more headache was having to have a tail pipe built since their collector couldn't attach to my exhaust which previously ended before the rear axle.

I've been to all of the emissions places, none will do it.

I was sent home with a "cannot test" for my 33s. Some of the smog stations can't even handle those.

I've got some 31" rollers on ZJ rims (5 on 4.5) if you don't mind coming down to the 20th and Sheridan area. There's a smog station not too far away at about 52nd and Lamar. Impact wrench for spinning them on and off too.

Shoot me a PM, and we'll figure out logistics.

I've got a set of stock wheels and tires you can have. Not much tread left tho; do they look at that real hard?

Poor Denver people. I haven't done an emission test for almost 10 years.

That blows. I used the emissions testing place out near Golden/Wheat Ridge (nears Coors brewery). They tested my rig with 33x12.50 MTRs.

That's the station I generally like to go to - I think I'll give up on the one at 52nd and Marshall. Their dyno must be old/small.

They were pissed when I showed up 30 minutes later with my rollers on only the back, ready to re-test. I giggled at them and they did the full mirror inspection for cat/muffler (and had to pass it anyway because everything is there)

Here my rig with emission rollers last year.

They also did the full check on it. I had to open the hood though cause the short female tech couldn't reach it. She also almost jumped it off the dyno because of all the torque with the small tires and gearing.
