I'm running super thin on vacation between weddings, Christmas, and my antelope hunt. I voted for the 29th/30th.

I'm in the same boat as Jay. Between the wedding/honeymoon, Christmas and the recurring crap I got for all my May vacations, I'd best not take another day off.

I totally forgot that this is the same weekend as the little'uns run. But honestly I am not sure that anyone else is built well enough for these trails anyways.

I am just throwing this out there since I forgot about the little uns run. Do you think that we could run this at the end of October? I am not sure if that is late or not for these trails. I am afraid if we wait too long that we will not beable to run them? We could change to 27/28 OCtober if that is better for everyone?

Thoughts/Opions

I should still be ok with those dates. As of right now, if we do it for these dates, I don't know if Erin can go. But in either case, I should still be fine- it might actually work a little better for me. However, I'm the same as you- I don't know when is too late for these trails.

I posted to CO4x4 to see if anyone knows how late in the year Holy Cross is typically open? October would work better for us too, but I think it may be to late in the year. The other thing that we could do if we plan for the end of October and Holy Cross does not pan out we could run chinaman instead with GL/IC.

We'll see,

Don

Caribou/Eldorado are closed by October I think...the rest should be open though.

I believe the mountains are already open for ski season that weekend- might be some white stuff on the trail.

Going to be tough

Well a couple people already posted to CO4x4 saying that End of SEPT is pushing it and End of October we wouldn't be able to make it to the top. This year has just gotten away from us. I guess I have to pick between this run and the little uns run?!?!?

Hey who started this thread anyway. Oh yeh that would be me.

I've actually been pretty diligent this year and clicked off 15 trail runs plus have another Moab outing.

The problem is, at the end of October, there really won't be any runs again for 5 months.

Just trying to get the ones in. Let us know Don if it is a go or not!

I really want to run Holly Cross this year. I am not sure on dates right now but I can usually make any weekend. Actually a Friday might be better for me.

Your doing better than we are, with gurad I have only made 8 trails this year. I hope to make up for a lot of this in Sep During the Ouray trip. 9 trails scheduled!
