Yep. I am calling Auburn Gear right now...

I am pissed because all of the research I did, nothing came up like this.

I wouldn't mind too much if it was a bolt on.. but this is some serious work getting this thing in and out if there is a recall.

Hopefully it will hold through Moab. True test I guess.

This is what I posted on CO4x4 after talking directly with Auburn:

Quote:
Just to put a stop to what could be misleading info:

I talked with the engineering dept. at Auburn Gear today and they said that there is not a recall.

A company in CA distributing the ECTED had a couple if issues and got nervous. Auburn said that they would take back all of the units shipped to that company and take a look at them.

There is not a common problem that is occuring around the nation (-as of right now).

Th Auburn customer service was very friendly and they offered to work directly with me if I ever had any problems. So I am a little more at ease now.

I am heading up to Moab in two weeks- that should make or break this thing! I'll report back if there are any issues. I ran Chinaman Gulch and had zero issues.. as a matter of fact it was night and day from being open/open.

Moab is a place for lockers.
I just got back with my brand new Arb lockers, and saw several instances where locked...right up unlocked...bang on it.
I found out, however there is sooo much traction that unless I was on an obsticle, leave the locker off, a front locker on that slick rock = no steering.

Have fun..
If you do Golden Spike...look for this.
