Guess the location...

Ok, I snagged this idea from a thread on co4x4 from a couple years ago.

The idea is to post a pic and for people to guess where it is from. 4wd trails in Colorado only. If you guess the location you can either post up your own pic of a Colorado trail or pass and who ever else has a pic to post can post up.

I'll start

While this isn't the 4wd road obviously, it is directly next to it:

Not entirely sure, but looks like one of the old mines up on the Spring Creek Trail

Nope...

Currently the entrance to this "cave" is covered in snow. It is probably 20 ft tall so it isn't a mine entrance. It was used to hold something else.

Up by Jenny Lake? At the top of Jenny Creek by the first little pond?

Yep, that is the one

It was originally dug out to tunnel through the mountain instead of going over the top part of Rollins Pass and through the Needle Eye Tunnel. Funding got cut off after a couple hundred feet and it was later used to store the snow plow locomotive when not being used.

The ability the post a pic if you want, or pass That should be reward enough

Guess you pass

This trail is hard to find now since the normal entrance has since been closed about 2 years ago.

Nope, Carnage used to be in a Canyon, so no overlooks like that one.

Nope...

The Northern entrance to the trail was shut down because a mine that uses the 4wd road decided to reopen. Boulder County (hint hint) graded the road a couple years before it closed (and then the mine turned around and shut it down - using our money ).

The road you see in the background of that pic along the top leads to Gold Hill (If you take Mapleton West out of Boulder).
