Dillon Ranger District - Summit County, CO Gate Status

Dillon Ranger District Road/Gate Status as of July 15, 2011

Boreas Pass #10 OPEN

Brush Creek #1695 OPEN

Crystal Creek OPEN

Deer Creek #5 OPEN

Frey Gulch #66 OPEN

Georgia Pass #355 (South Fork Swan) Open for 2.4 miles then CLOSED at Upper Gate. Severely gullied road above upper gate. Closed indefinitely until repairs are completed.

Glacier Ridge Road #258 OPEN You can access this road since Deer Crk/Saints John are now open, BUT there are still some snow drifts across the road. Do not go around the drifts.

Keystone Gulch #175 OPEN- Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun CLOSED-Tues/Thurs. Timber Contractor working in this area.

Lonesome Gulch #2840 OPEN

Middle Fork Swan Rd #6.2 OPEN (partially) As of 7/16 the road is passable to treeline and then you will encounter snow drifts. Cannot connect to Montezuma/Deer Creek.

Miner's Creek #1000 CLOSED Initially opened this 2 weeks ago, but had to close again due to deep muddy section where vehicles are getting stuck. Closed indefinitely until repair can be completed.

Mumford Gulch/Cox Loop #2855/2850 OPEN

North Fork Swan #354 OPEN

Peru Creek #260 OPEN Upper Gate @ Shoe Basin Mine is permanent motorized closure.

Quandary/McCullough #852 OPEN

Saints John Rd #275 OPEN snow drifts just beyond gate

Shane Gulch OPEN

Shrine Pass #16/#709 OPEN snow drifts 1/2 mile beyond gate

Spring Creek Area OPEN Clear to junction with Elliot Ridge Trailhead; Road to Mahan Lake still has some snow drifts.

Spruce Creek #800 OPEN

Webster Pass #285 OPEN Only open to pass on Dillon RD side. One cannot descend onto the South Platte Ranger District (Handcart Gulch) due to impassable snow near the top of Webster Pass.
