Denver area new guy needs help with York Oba

I bought an 05 LJR and while driving it home I began to smell burning oil. I think it is from the York Oba oil return line and filter. Since I have zero experience with this set up, I was wondering if someone could offer a little advice. When the jeep is running, I can feel air coming out of the filter (like it is too loose at the top) and air coming from the bottom of the filter (where the oil return line starts at the very bottom of the filter) can I take apart the oil return line and screw the filter tight again? Then reattach the oil return line? Lastly I will need to figure out how to refill the oil. I assume I could disconnect the oil return line at the compressor side and add oil that way. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, but I don't want to burn up the compressor because it is low on oil and I have never worked on a set up like this before.

Thanks for any advice

No help, but you might want to PM e_rock (or something like that). He had a popular thread (years ago now) in the fab section, so I think he's pretty knowledgeable.
