Ok, back in the Grand Cherokee forum, there were some pics of a trail run a fellow Colorado Jeeper went on recently. Imediately he got 3 or 4 responses from other Colorado Jeepers, to let them know next time he goes up, because we all wanted to go. I say, we unite somehow, and let other Colo Jeepers know when a trail run is imminant. I mean, we all know just how many trails there are in Colo. Easy ones, hard ones, long ones short ones (I'm talking about 4x4 trails guys come on, keep your mind out of the gutter) etc. Theres pretty much something for everyone here, and maybe we could start a "Colorado Jeep Club Member #X" or whatever, to kind of "identify" ourselves, so we know who to let know of upcoming trail runs.
Yeah if you come up I-25 it shouldn't take you more than 1 hour. And you have to be really really really blind to miss Fort Collins High School if you manage to find Timberline Road so I don't think we will lose anyone.
I think the fastest way to get to Ft Collins from Boulder is going through Longmont on Co. 55(?) to I-25. It definitely shouldn't take more than an hour.
Ryan - I shot you my cell # via PM in case we can't find each other on Sunday morning.
I was just curious how many girls are going I am and xjrrrdx said he's bringing one. Are there any other girls going? If so are they driving or are they just along for the ride?
I would but none of my girlfriends are into the whole Jeep and 4 wheelin thing. Sorry. If I find one by Sunday I'll bring her, but don't get your hopes up.
The only girl I know who liked Jeeps got pregnant (she's 5 or 6 months) and turned into a "cowgirl" (the guy who knock her up was a so called cowboy).
She wants to trade her ZJ in for a pick-up. :brickwall So she's not invited. But I'll ask around tomorrow.

I'll correct this, its even worse than it sounds. She's a poser cowboy, and she wants to trade her ZJ for a FORD Pick-Up. She also used to argue with me about what year the ZJ got its facelift. (She swore it was 95) She also thinks that Limited ZJs are less capable off road (She had a laredo obviously). She took hers "mudding" once, (muddy parking lot illegally, thats about all the "4wheeling" her Jeep ever does) and she ripped off the front bumper, grill, and headlights.
Hehe, better last night than tonight. We got a big day ahead of us now!
PS Last night at work my boss was begging me to work on sunday. Another guy got fired yesterday (yay!) and they were divying up his hours. They needed me on Sunday, I said, I'll work any other day, but not sunday.

Not sure if I am going to be able to make it now....!(*@#$^& !!!! I went up today to Coney Creek & I think I messed up a tire. If I am able to fix it tonight, I'll be up there with you all. If not, then just count me as #1 for the next trip.
About an hour. It depends on from where in Denver, but the day of the week works in your benefit. Being Sunday traffic won't be as bad.
I went to school down in Denver for 2 years I came home(Fort Collins) on the weekends, and drove back on Sunday. It shouldn't take more than an hour. I made the trip in 50 minutes usually but then I was driving a Grand am Gt, it went a lot faster than my wrangler.
With so many of us going I was wondering how many of you know where Moody Hill is or have been there before? With so many Jeeps we will get seperated through town because of stop lights. I was thinking about spacing those of us who know where it is through out the line on the way to the trail so no one gets stuck at a light and not know where to go. Then we can regroup at Horsetooth Res. or at the trail head.
We will be up there during lunch time so plan accordingly. The trail doesn't take all day but depending on how long we play around in the Quarry will determine how long it takes. For those of you who don't feel Moody Hill is enough to satisfy your hunger, Crystal Mountain branches off the end of Moody Hill.
Moody Hill is 6.4 miles long with a low rating of 3 and a high rating of 8
Crystal Mountain is 4.3 miles long with a low rating of 5 and a high rating of 7
Can't wait to see all of you tomorrow
PS:
If any of you are afraid of getting lost let me or Eric know and we'll PM you our cell number so we can help you out.
For the first person to arrive at Fort Collins High School, there will be a Silver TJ with a black hard top and black steel wheels and a Silver WJ Limited completely bone stock. Maybe I'll flex it out on a curb or something so you know its me
I'm gonna make a simple map explaining how to get to moody hill from Fort Collins High and post it in here tonight for anyone in case you get lost in Fort Collins.
If you get on Harmony Road and go west, and STAY ON THAT ROAD you won't screw up. It goes up past Horsetooth Resevoir, through Masonville, around and up and down in the mountains but it is still the same road you started on. You won't turn until you reach a sign that says "Pennock Pass" and "Stove Prairie" (See pic) you turn in the direction of Pennock Pass. It will look like what you see in the last pic. From here, its a short little drive to the trail head. It'll be on your left.
Keep in mind, this is if someone gets lost or is running late etc. This is the way that I plan on getting there.
See you all tommorrow morning!
