I turned my garage heater on last night blowing on my tool chest hoping that maybe that'll keep them warm...or at least start warm. I highly doubt it'll keep the garage "hot" though...

Eric, sorry we didn't get your lift on. Tomorrow or next weekend if you're interested in installing it let me know (that is if you don't install it tomorrow night).

Working on the pics now...

Ditto on Arlo's comment. Thanks for the help on Nick's rig, Eric. I'm working on pics as well. Y'all know me...I suck at taking pics while I'm wrenching. You'll at least have pics of the front with and without shocks

I didn't get much of the back of Nick's Jeep. BTW, Nick, I have your Torx bits. You left those behind at Arlo's. We'll catch up sometime and I'll get them to you.

Yes thanks again for all of hte help! This newbie learned a lot....the biggest lesson to be learned is that Jim has a ton of *****es! They are everywhere!!!! That and he has a lot of doohickeys for those of us w/duct tapes wheel wells! LOL

Oh yeah! Thanks for picking up those Torx for me. We can meet up sometime, no hurry.

The ride is INCREDIBLE. Night and Day does even do the comparison justice! The guys can tell you how bad my old shocks were, stockers w/100k+ on 'em.......

Erik, thanks for the assitance on the install too. Sorry that we couldn't get yours done today....your new ride looks nice though man!!!!!

One more thing...the wife LOVES the new ride. So much better. She didn't even kick my *** tonight!!! haha

A note on Nick's (NaturalHoosier's) shocks: You can compress them with one hand and when fully compressed, it takes ~30 seconds to fully uncompress They were in pretty sore shape...

Not any great pics (except the final ones) but they are all available here: http://www.gu3.net/jeep/Jeep-Install...ex-images.html

Total costs for the lifs today:
$20 for a 5/8 drill bit later to open up the strut spacers for Parky's KJ.
$11 for a set of torx bits to remove the front sway bar on NaturalHoosier's ZJ

Not too shabby...mine cost me overr $100 cause I like to buy tools

Pre 5/8 drill bit we tried to dremmel out the inside of the holes for the strut spacers:

Unfortunantly I didn't get a good picture of the strut fork that was a huge PITA to get back on but basically we had to undo the lower A-arm/control arm in order to get the fork back on...

Jim and Nick installing the shocks:

4/5 of the Jeeps that showed up:

Great job today guys. The ZJ and KJ are looking much better. I can't wait to see them with new shoes.

I wish I could of made it today, but, between the wife and my leg there was no getting out of the house.

Here we go, I have no shots of the before since I showed up with both the Libby and the ZJ already in and started. Nick (NaturalHoosier) and I had to make 1 run to Checker to get some Torx bits.

Nick's old shocks were beyond shot...really mushy

My camera was acting wierd today...loads of ghosts - 36 pics, and these were actually all I could get that were usable

Hey! A beer fits in there now!
