the more Jeeps the better.
If it's OK, I'll bring between 1 - 3 other jeepers. A guy at work has a stock Cherokee, I've been wheeling with him before, and other friends have a Rubicon and a 350 V8 Franken Jeep, not sure if they will make it though.

Please post directions to the meeting spot. Also, an out of towner spot that is easy to find would help

Jealous

I would like to say you people are killin me over here! I have always been a fan of Colorado. After I get my Masters in Landscape Architecture, I will be a 'Colorado Jeeper'!!!

I am currently toying with plans for another subtle wheeling trip to the southwest portion of the state next summer. Did the San Juans this last summer, and have covered most of the larger trail systemd on ATV. What do ya guys say for creating a full blown, JF run, next summer, in the beautiful state of Colorado?

Now, for a test. Below you will find a few pictures. This is a game called, "Name That Run"!!!!

Everyone seems set on Moody Hill. I'm OK with the drive up to Fort Collins, lets say the 6th for sure, unless someone else has objections.

Maybe next summer we can do a more centralized trail, like somewhere up I-70

Just need to confirm a time and a meeting spot, meeting at 11:00 sounds good with me.

So meeting at the trail head @ 11am. Ft. Colins at 10am, and those that want to meet up in Boulder before hand at the Safeway in North Boulder @ 28th and Iris on the SouthWest corner @ 9:00am I'll be there. Let me know if you'll be there so we don't leave w/o anyone.

Eric get us some directions for out of towners please, I don't know Ft. Colins at all

Sorry I haven't posted with more info guys, I have been moving into a new appartment. I have to come back to the old empty one with to use the internet until they get it switched over.

Anyhow.

Fort Collins at 10 AM.

To make things easier, we can meet up at Fort Collins High School.
Easiest way to get there is to take the Harmony Road Exit (First Fort Collins Exit) and drive West to Timberline. Turn Right (North) on Timberline to Horsetooth Road. Turn Right (East) go just past the McDonalds on the corner and there will be a large parking lot on your Left (North side of road). This parking lot is one of the Fort Collins High School Parking lots. Look for a Silver Stock WJ and you're golden.

From there, we have a pretty straight shot over to Horsetooth Resevoir, will take us probably just under 1 hour to get to the trail head (nice drive too ) and there is a good air down spot right there.

I am in for Colorado #11. I can't make the 6th. I am still waiting on Control Arms and shocks to finish my new lift. I will probably finish off the lift that weekend. Kevin put the remaining parts in the mail today. I hope maybe we can do the next weekend. I can't wait to go on a run.

I'll answer for her, since she's at work. As of today she is planning on driving herself.

Anybody else noticing a lot of Colo Jeepers Named Ryan who drive WJs? Am I the only Colo WJ owner not named Ryan?

On a more serious note. After doing some thinking about it. I am 1/2 convinced that I need to drive up to Moody Hill before we go up there to see if I can get a stock WJ past this certain point on the initial climb. There is a section of the trail just past the beginning that is VERY rocky and VERY loose and pretty interesting terrain. We got the TJ up there with 31s and Rubi Springs, but it only cleared it by about 1 inch. I don't want to have all of us get up there and only 1/3 of us get through.

I tried to find a pic of the obstacle, but I'm not coming up with anything. Anyhow, what do you guys think? Should I run up there and test it out?

I don't think you need to worry about it too much. I'm pretty confident that the whole group will be able to make it through with nothing other than some good spotting and maybe some rock stacking (if that's even necessary).
