Colorado Jeep club now owns an SWR

I can't stant it anymore.
I moved my cb anntena and got new cable. It seems to work ok.

But it has never been adjusted with an swr meter.

I went on ebay this morning and bought a cheap one.
When it arrives I will donate it to the Colorado Jeep club.(after I use IT )

It's a cheap one..no name brand.
But for a device that is kinda a 1 time use thing...it should not cost much.
I am a firm beleiver in not tuning a $35 cb with a $50 meter.

This is a new SWR Meter Compact Test Instrument.

Designed to test any 50 Ohm Antenna and Antenna Coax.

Used for CB Radio Operation by testing the SWR.

SWR...........1:1 to 3:1

RF POWER.........0-10 Watt & 0-100 Watt

Impedance........50 Ohms

Accuracy...........SWR 5%

Looks like a good deal! I need to re-do my CB I think. I calibrated mine when I got my new antenna, but I either need a new CB or a new cable. Channels 1-15 or so are still pretty good, but after channel 20, my SWR spikes, and I have a hard time hearing anything. I think I have a bad CB, but I'm not sure. I think I'll take it in to get tested to be sure.

Yeah if I ever get mine back (no rush or any pressure) it is free for anyone to use as well - I haven't seen it in about 9 months

I've only had it a couple months...
Maybe if you didn't have to try to race me on 36, I could have gotten it back to you!

I almost got a cow bell for the club also.

The cow bell tradition amongst 4 wheelers:
The first rig to take strap on trail wears the cow bell untill the next trail ride with a strapping.

I think we do need to get one.

I like this idea! It'd add even more fun to the trail.
