What can I take my stock 2005 Rocky Mountain Edition Wrangler up this time of year looking more scenic just no pavement.

Thanks!

Switzerland Trail would be your best bet. Take a shovel. It's just a little ways outside Boulder.

I would say Bunce Road is the best 1st timer trail in CO. You can play around, hard to get lost, not real far from Denver.

Plus, in the winter there should be some snow on the ground. Great trail to learn your rig in the snow.

Any stock vehicle can run this trail.

I think Bunce is closed. I thought I saw that on one of the Forest service links from a different thread.

Depends on what time saturday, I might have to study for my FAA checkride that I'm taking wednesday. I bet I can still help for a couple hours. I'm leaving on Sunday to drive to Oklahoma and I'll be coming back Thursday with a Commercial Pilots License and my buddy's trailer.

I would not be too happy if they fenced off that rocky area. I doubt they did though, why would they. I guess we'll have to head up there when it re-opens in the spring and check it out. There's still a lot more of that trail that we didn't even get to in August.

Bunce School Rd is open year round, you just need to enter from the North end. The South end is closed off. And you won't get through to the South ends gate, normally have some good snow drifts that make you turn around.
