Chinaman's on Nov. 11th, 2006

Rockfrogs are going to Chinaman's this weekend depending on weather. We are meeting at 10 AM at Johnson Village. We are also working out a caravan meeting in Denver to head over to Johnson Village. Let me know if you want to go. More info in this post:

Tempting, for sure...
Last time I did Chinamans, I came off it broken....In fact I was cleaning up my back yard this morning and found the 4 pieces of the front outer axle, I broke there.
The 4 to 5 hour round trip to the trail is a killer though...

Pencil me in...

PS...Been contemplating joining Rock Frogs anyhow, a good chance to meet....

I think that was Jay and I's fault. Everytime we go out with a ZJ, it breaks.

Seems no matter what I do, I always miss out on the runs. Stupid scheduling! I wish I could go...I've never run this trail. Gonna be busy trying to get some other projects finished up though. How far is this trail from Denver?

This is a great trail. First truely difficult trail that I have run and it is a lot of fun. It is about 2 to 2.5 hours from denver and the trail takes all day to run. I am looking to run something closer in this weekend so if I find something I'll start another thread.

Later,

Don

We have talked about it...

Count me in for Chinamans on Saturday.
Might be 2 of us coming(2 rigs)

Meeting at the car wash at Kipling and 285 at 7:15 for the convoy?
If this has changed, let me know about the Denver staging area...

I am not sure were the car wash at Kipling and 285 came from, but we are meeting at C-470 and 285.

Here is a quote from the rockfrog's forum.

Quote:
I am all for caravaning down if you would like to set up a meeting time and spot for the Denver area people that would like to caravan. I figure 7 a.m. at C-470 and 285. As soon as you get on 285 from C-470 there is a wide spot on the right hand side of the road. I use that as a meeting place often.

Do you think a TJ with an open front and limited slip rear will make it through? I have 3" of lift and rock sliders........

What do you think?

Without a doubt. My 2 1/2" lifted ZJ made it through (minus the broken axle ) You will have no problem.
