ATTN : Josh ( others can chime in if they know )

I'm not sure if its related to the tires/wheels but...

on my way home from the install when you put them on there was 2-3 very loud popping noises as i was going down the highway

one came from the left side of the Jeep and 2 from the right

checked everything out and didnt see anything out of the ordinary.. still drives just fine... nothing noticable

yesterday it happened again.. 1 more very loud popping noise.. this time from the left side of the Jeep

is this normal or maybe have nothing to do with the new tires/wheel mounting?

I'm not too worried about it atm cause the Jeep still drives perfectly fine. I'm just really wondering what it is and if its something i SHOULD be worried about

Umm....yeah. That's kinda wierd. I would definately start by checking your lug nuts- make sure they are all torqued down correctly. Check the wheel weights- see if they may have flown off. If it were anything related to the wheels/tires, I would think it would be one of those two things.

Without knowing exactly where the sounds were coming from, or how they sounded, I would start there. Check all your connections underneath as well- make sure everything is tightened down. It's quite possible that a wheel weight may have popped off and hit something, causing the sound.

wheel weights ( as far as i can tell ) are all on there.. i also dont have any vibes and im assuming missing weights would cause vibes from being off balance

lug nuts are all tight and secure

What kind of tires? Could it be rocks? My TJ drove me nuts kicking rocks into the fenders after I got new BFG TA's

Ya got me stumped on this one. Since you've checked the wheels and weights, I wouldn't think it would be there any more. It's even more difficult if everything is tight underneath. You don't have any wierd rubbing or anything anywhere, do you?

I got a pinging noise from a slightly worn and loose old trackbar... and the same with loose control arm.

I guessed it! I win!! Wait...I'm the one who put those on...so I lose.

At least you got it figured out. I must not have used ones that pinched down enough on the rim. You might want to double check the rest of the tires- maybe tap them with a hammer to make sure they are still tight. Sorry about that!
