So you're trail ready now?

32"s, locked rear, on 4.56's? Not a bad combo on a WJ!

Aussie locked is a "lunchbox" right, locked all the time, automatically when you push the gas?

Nice! Glad to see you got regeared without too much hassle. Be careful with that whur-ing sound. More likely than not, it is just the new gears meshing, and should go away (I had it after re-gearing as well). However, I had that same sound before the regear as well, and it finally resulted in a blown out pinion gear.

Replaced the front & rear axle seals, rear wheel bearings...

That solved a mini vibration I had beteen 30 and 33 mph. Now I just have a whirl upon decelleration (perhaps it is just the new gears?)
Good to see you got the gears in. I wonder when those pside gears came apart. I had the Whirl noise when I switched to the 4.88s for a while.

I got the whirl after my rear axle was installed...only bearings left back there are carrier & pinion bearings. The axle was rebuilt shortly before I got ahold of it so I was assuming that they were fine It would be nice if they quieted down, guess we'll see.

Hahahaha, so many speciality tools I don't have and so much inexperience, if I were to install gears w/o direction they would only be good for about 500 ft.

Plans for rig? Until it is no longer a DD I would like to swap in a 9" in the rear and a HP44 or a 9" in the front, Claytons LA's, custom bumpers and leave it at that with 35" tires. Got cash?

Ran a gear pattern tonight, didn't come out pretty IMHO:
Coast:

Drive:

Drive looks like it has too much heel and coast has too much toe.
