bigger tires dont have anything to do with a sye . the lift is what matters. tires still keep your axle sitting like it was but with a lift it moves your axle down which puts your ds in more of an angle putting more stress on it, allowing it to break a lot easier.

Bigger tires are an end piece to more lift. The implication was that he would be going taller (long arms, etc) before going with bigger tires. That is why I was suggesting the SYE.

Called Teraflex, they are going to warranty the springs (well, I have to buy new ones, install them, send back the other ones, they then will probably warranty them, then I get a refund.)

Also getting drive shaft doctors to cut and balance my DS for $65

if you cut and balance would the drive shaft be as strong as it was when stock?

Well technically it'll be 2" shorter so it'll be able to deflect less before it rips apart...however it is already so long I doubt it'll change it at all.

Should be, had Brakes Plus get the brakes working for me this afternoon...they feel better but not perfect. They think I just need to break in the rear rotors & pads which I'll do this week after work sometime...on a back country road where I can't kill anyone

Picked up my drive shaft this afternoon, painted it, waiting for it to dry before I install it. Also received 4 new RE LCA bushings just begging for me to isntall them (and hopefully cure my rare DW)

Man I need to relearn how to drive with my transmission...I used to be able to make it to 45mph in 1st gear @ redline...Now redline in first is 35mph. Second gear redline has been dropped to 55mph from 70 mph. Oh well at least I should be able to use 4th gear

How's it drive now? Any vibes? You still need to regear the front, correct?

Drives fine, well as fine as it can for a lunchbox locker in the back No popping or banging yet though which is good. I attribute that to my excellent install job

No vibes (WJ rear DS is ~35" long overall so a "tad" longer then TJ's )

I guess i need to regear the front...I kinda like having two speeds I can go depending on which drive shaft is in Gears still aren't gear so I am kinda at a standstill until then.

Swapped my springs this weekend...the new ones are a bigger diameter with fewer coils. I wonder if they had a problem with the old design?

Swapped in 4 new LCA bushings...none of them were in horrible shape, yet I still removed some clunks. Can't wait for LA's so I don't replace them monthly.

I have a whine above 40mph when decelleraton - I think it is the wheel bearings so I'll be replacing them as soon as they show up.

And best of all, I am going to show Terry how to do a regear on our first try this weekend

Larger diameter coils causing any swaybar interference? Just curious.
