Anybody want to assist with some welding?

The spot welds on my rear driver corner have come loose from the tailgate area and the corner is flopping around which is keeping the tailgate from sealing correctly. Anyone that can help me weld it up so that I don't have to take it to a body shop? I'm willing to pay a reasonable price($, lunch etc.)...

Where in Denver are you?

I have a wire welder. A Hobart 130 or something like that.
I'm sure it can weld 2 pieces of body sheet metal together.

It needs to be cleaned up real good, no rust or paint at all, before welding.

I am right downtown. I see that you are in Englewood(if thats where you are still located). I don't mind coming to you at all if that works for you. I wont have time to get it cleaned up until Saturday, then I can get it cleaned up nice with no rust or paint. If you are willing, let me know when would work best for you and what I would need to bring (payment, etc).

Just by the way... I have no welding experience at all but I would be willing to watch and learn.

Yeah, we met up and welded.

The quality of the welding was...???, but I threw enough melted wire at it to to hold a battleship.
I do not claim that as a skill on my resume, welding.
