4x4 Trails that lead to Fishing Spots

I saw one or 2 other similar threads when I searched, but they were based in CoSprings area, I believe.

Anyone know of some decent trails in the Front Range area (willing to drive to get to spots, but not interested in a lake near Steamboat, or Ouray, etc.) where you can take a 4x4 trail up and then fish?

I have a 2012 Grand Cherokee, so not looking for any crazy trails (4/4 or less on traildamage) and don't have fly-fishing gear, just a regular spin reel.

I've done Loch Lomond (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=71) and caught a few trout there, which was fun. We also camped there, but it is very rocky, above treeline, and got quite cold at night, even in August.

Any other spots anyone could recommend? Crystal Lakes in Breck (or the hike over to Mayflower Lake?)?

Crystal lakes is a pretty one, but like all the high country lakes camping it's is usually cold at night. But if you're from michigan you shouldn't be too uncomfortable.

Wheeler Lake is near Breck as well. I've seen guys pull fish out of that lake before. Also beautiful. The trail to this lake is on the more difficult side.

Bump.

Anyone know of any good car-camping spots near Steamboat?
